Divorce with Children?

We at Kreutzer Law Offices understand that going through a Dissolution of Marriage (Divorce) is a very emotionally challenging time. We understand that it is even more difficult when children are involved. We do our best to handle the division of assets and the decisions regarding your children with the utmost care and concern.

When it comes to deciding the rights and responsibilities with regards to the children, the court requires a Parenting Plan. This plan will include child support, time sharing (child visitation) and all aspects of the relationship between the former spouses and their children. If a parenting plan cannot be agreed upon, then a judge after trial will make the determination.

Below are various time sharing schedules that the parties can agree to. If none of the schedules in the below are in agreement with the parties, they can agree on any time sharing schedule that they wish. We understand that everyone has different time requirements and therefore we at Kreutzer Law Offices will work with you and your spouse to try and agree on a plan.

We also understand that in today’s busy and hectic society that sometimes a parent must relocate. This is especially difficult when children are involved and there is a parenting plan in place where the parents have time sharing. One parent cannot just make the decision to move and relocate without having court approval or an agreement with the other parent. We at Kreutzer Law Offices will do our best to come to an agreement with regards to the relocation, however if an agreement cannot be reached then a Petition to Relocate will be filed. A sample Petition to Relocate is below.

If you are thinking about a divorce or any family law matter or already in the process, feel free to contact Kreutzer Law Offices to review your case with us.
